Delhi: COVID-19 positivity rate oscillates between zero to 0.9 percentage
The COVID-19 positivity rate was recorded at zero percent on Thursday in the North-East District of Delhi while the highest percentage was registered last Sunday in East Delhi from February 5 to February 18, according to the official district-wise data, released on Friday. The lowest in North East Delhi was zero percent which was recorded on February 18.
East Delhi recorded the highest positivity rate
During this period in North-East Delhi, the COVID-19 positivity rate stood at 0.02 percent on February 5, 8, and 13, while the highest in this area was on February 7 at 0.35 percent. In East Delhi, the highest positivity rate was recorded on February 14 at 0.90 percent, and the lowest COVID-19 positivity rate stood at 0.15 percent on February 11.
10,897 have succumbed to COVID-19 so far
Delhi recorded 158 fresh COVID-19 cases and one new fatality on Friday, while the positivity rate stood at 0.26 percent, authorities said. With this, the toll from the coronavirus infection has grown to 10,897. These new 158 cases came out of the 60,836 tests conducted the previous day, according to the health bulletin.
Active cases as of Friday in the capital
The active cases tally on Friday stood at 1,053, the same figure as the previous day, according to the latest bulletin. The total number of tests conducted the previous day, included 39,931 RT-PCR tests and 20,905 rapid antigen tests, the bulletin said.
COVID-19 positivity rate as recorded in other Delhi districts
The lowest and highest positivity rates figures in other districts are as follows. Central Delhi district recorded 0.08 percent on February 15 and 0.35 percent on February 18; New Delhi recorded 0.19 percent on February 9 and 0.73 percent on February 14; North Delhi recorded 0.05 percent on February 6-7 and 0.19 percent on February 14.
COVID-19 positivity rate in South West Delhi and Shahdara
In South West Delhi, the lowest positivity rate was recorded at 0.33 percent on February 6, and highest 0.73 percent on February 10. In Shahdara, the lowest positivity rate was 0.02 percent on February 6 and 7; and highest was 0.16 percent on February 18.
