Delhi: Fog envelops city, temperature settles at 7 degree Celsius
It was a cold and foggy morning in the national capital today, with the minimum temperature settling at 7 degree Celsius. A cover of moderate fog enveloped the city, with visibility dropping to 400 meter at Safdarjung at 8.30 am, said an official. The MeT Department has forecast generally cloudy sky later in the day with the maximum temperature hovering around 26 degree Celsius.
10 north bound trains running late due to fog
Yesterday was the warmest day in January this year at 25.9 degree Celsius. Relative humidity at 8.30 in the morning was 97%. A railways official said that 10 north bound trains, including Unchahar Express, Brahmputra Mail, Kaifiyat Express, Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Garib Rath, were running late due to fog today, with an average delay of two to three hours.
