Aligarh: Charred body found in car on UP highway

What's the story

The completely charred body of a 35-year-old builder from Delhi's New Ashok Nagar was found near Aligarh-Etah highway, in a Noida registered burnt Skoda car on Saturday morning. He was later identified as Mohammad Rizwan. Police have registered a murder case after empty bottles that smelled of petrol were found in a nearby area.

Burnt cord and liquor bottles found in car

The murder seemingly took place around 4am, though police were told about the burnt car by some passers-by at around 6.30am. Preliminary investigations have revealed that there were at least three men in the car before the incident took place. Additionally, some liquor bottles were found under the seats and a burnt cord was also recovered from the car.

Ex-wife has been trying to blackmail him

According to his wife, Nazmeen Khan, Rizwan was in touch with her until 10.30 pm and had gone to Aligarh to recover some money. Apparently, he had no known enemies except his ex-wife who had been trying to blackmail him.
