Delhi Police said the deadly game instructs participants to carry out 50 dangerous challenges, the final one being suicide. The advisory stated, "Teenagers and young adults in their formative years seek social validation, acceptance and aspire to be part of something bigger than themselves and this game exploits that." No Blue Whale-related suicides or suicide attempts were reported in Delhi so far.
How to identify Blue Whale-related activity?
Delhi Police has instructed parents to keep an eye on their children and identify any abnormal activity. They were urged to find out if kids are depressed, aggressive, or spending long and lonely hours on the Internet. The game-related tasks include waking up early in the morning, inflicting injuries on oneself, watching horror videos alone, climbing up building tops, and suicide.
