Delhi: 60-year-old woman exacts revenge, gets her robber arrested
A 60-year-old woman in Delhi got a 24-year-old man arrested two days after he had sedated and robbed her on a bus. Vijay Sahdev spotted Philip alias Vicky at the same spot near the Uttam Nagar bus-stop on Saturday evening, where she had met him on Wednesday. He was trying to trap another woman. Sahdev alerted the police, who came and nabbed him.
How did Vicky con Sahdev?
On February 28, Sahdev, on her way to Hari Nagar, met Vicky at the bus stand around 11.30 AM. He started conversing with her and told her that he too was going along the same route and that it was his birthday. He tried to tickle her emotional side by saying that he had been orphaned recently and she reminded him of his mother.
Sahdev went into slumber after consuming biscuits offered by Vicky
He then offered her biscuits on the occasion of his 'birthday.' Reluctantly, Sahdev took one and both boarded the bus. She was soon knocked out. An hour later, she woke up to find her earrings and wallet gone. She just had her mobile with herself.
Vicky was conning another woman when he was caught
On Saturday, Sahdev and her son were crossing the same bus stand. She wanted to try her luck in catching the thug, so she got down at the spot. And there he was, conning another woman. Sahdev immediately raised an alarm. Her son and other passersby caught hold of him and got Vicky arrested. Cops said she would be awarded for her brave act.
