Zomato Skillet to educate restaurateurs about industry insights, skills, tricks
Zomato has survived 9 years in the food-tech sector. Several start-ups in this segment balked and closed shop but Zomato soldiered on, even after losing the coveted "unicorn" tag. After clocking an impressive 120 million visitors a month across all platforms, it's bringing in its next offing, the Zomato Skillet, an educational forum to make sure that restaurants, under its patronage, thrive. Here's more.
What's it all about?
One of Zomato's core missions, for the future, is to ensure that its partnered restaurants get long-term success and sustainable growth. In order to do so, it'll extend its expertise and ensure that these restaurants are catering right products to correct consumer segments or teach how they can improve their quality of food and services. This, it believes, will lead to their exponential growth.
What is Zomato Skillet?
Zomato Skillet will be an educational forum for restaurateurs to learn new tricks of the trade. The firm will be conducting series of workshops, exclusively for the restaurateurs. It will help them to identify market opportunities, share challenges, devise solutions by discussing with their peers, learn invaluable tips from master-chefs and fix the pressure points of their respective businesses.
Detailed approach
Zomato will conduct these workshops in such a way that each industry segment gets covered. These will be conducted by successful restaurateurs and industry experts. Zomato would also provide insights that it has unearthed by observing consumer behavior and from its global exposure. Restaurant owners, promoters, CXOs and F&B managers would find Skillet extremely helpful, according to Zomato.
Here's the first one
Its first workshop, titled 'Branching out - expansion and scaling up', will address the concerns of restaurateurs aiming to open their second or third outlet. The workshop will discuss key areas such as location, franchising, diversifying into brands, etc. This will be held at New Delhi, this month. Priyank Sukhija, who runs over 25 restaurants, will be the speaker for this event.
