The fund is specifically designed to support entrepreneurs who are 25 years of age or younger. Announced on April 15, the initiative aims to foster significant changes in various fields by targeting young individuals with potential. The fund seeks to provide financial aid and networking opportunities within a dynamic community of like-minded people.
Comprehensive support for young entrepreneurs
The WTFund provides a comprehensive package which includes a non-dilutive grant of ₹20 lakh, allowing entrepreneurs to retain full equity in their businesses. In addition to financial aid, the fund offers access to mentorship pods led by experienced operators and an active community within the 'WTF' ecosystem. It also provides opportunities for feedback and other advantages, creating a holistic growth platform for emerging entrepreneurs.
WTFund to select 40 entrepreneurs for funding and mentorship
The WTFund will select 40 entrepreneurs aged 25 or younger for funding and mentorship over a year. These chosen entrepreneurs will continue to receive support until they have secured their first institutional funding.The fund will officially begin operations and start accepting applications from today via its website. Kamath expressed his excitement about the launch of WTFund. He emphasized the importance of respecting and supporting the country's youth in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
