After Realme, Xiaomi increases price of Redmi 6, Mi TVs
Just days after Realme increased the prices of its phones, Xiaomi has hiked prices of some of its popular selling products in India. Citing the depreciating value of rupee against the US dollar, the Chinese electronics giant has increased the prices of Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, Mi TV 4C, Mi TV 4A, and Mi Power Bank 2i by up to Rs. 2,000. Here's why Xiaomi has hiked prices of its popular products
Xiaomi said a price adjustment has been announced to atone for "a significant rise in input cost" considering "rupee has depreciated against the dollar by nearly 15% since the beginning of this year." Notably, the revised prices will be applicable starting November 11 midnight. Hence, the introductory prices at which some of the new products were launched will not be applicable anymore.
New prices of Redmi 6A and Redmi 6
The Redmi 6A's 16GB variant has received a price hike of Rs. 600 and it will now retail for Rs. 6,599 while its 32GB variant will now cost Rs. 7,499 (launch price: Rs. 6,999). The price of Redmi 6's 32GB model has been increased by Rs. 500 to Rs. 8,499. However, the price of its 64GB variant remains unchanged at Rs. 9,499.
New prices of Mi TV 4 Pro, Power Bank 2i
The Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32 has received a price hike of Rs. 1,000 and will now sell for Rs. 15,999. The price of Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49 has been increased by Rs. 2,000 and it will now cost Rs. 31,999. Moreover, the 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i will now sell for Rs. 899 after a Rs. 100 hike.
