Vodafone upgrades postpaid-plans, offers upto 75GB data
In India, there's an evident war among the telecom companies to capture the lion's share of the country's mobile subscriber base. Disrupted by Jio's entry, almost all operators have already upgraded their prepaid and postpaid plans to undercut the competition. In the latest update, Vodafone has revamped its RED 399 and RED 499 postpaid plans to attract subscribers by offering more data and additional benefits.
Everything to know about the new Rs. 399 RED Basic
Firstly, the RED Basic 399 plan has now been renamed as RED Entertainment. Under the revised plan, Vodafone is now offering 40GB 3G/4G data which is double from the previous data benefit of 20GB, along with a data rollover of upto 200GB. Additionally, you get one-year Vodafone Play subscription, one-year Amazon Prime membership, unlimited local/national calls, free national roaming and 100 daily SMSes.
Everything to know about the Rs. 499 RED-Traveler R plan
The Rs. 499 RED-Traveler R plan is now known as RED Entertainment+. Under the revamped plan, Vodafone is offering 75GB 3G/4G data as against the previous monthly limit of 40GB, along with a data rollover of upto 200GB. Additionally, you also get one-year Vodafone Play subscription, one-year Amazon Prime membership, and a free device protection plan worth Rs. 300.
What's Reliance Jio offering in its postpaid plans?
Reliance Jio offers only a Rs. 199 postpaid plan which provides 25GB data per month, along with unlimited calling, and unlimited SMSes. However, if a user finishes the monthly limit of 25GB data, he/she can continue to access high-speed internet at Rs. 20 per GB.
Airtel also offers Rs. 399 and Rs. 499 postpaid plans
In comparison, Bharti Airtel also offers Rs. 399 and Rs. 499 postpaid plans. With its Rs. 399 plan, Airtel provides 20GB monthly data along with unlimited calls and unlimited roaming. On the other hand, the Rs. 499 plan offers free calling and roaming along with 40GB data and one-year Amazon Prime subscription.
