Vodafone's Rs. 499 plan offers 1.5GB data/day for 70 days
Vodafone has updated its catalog of prepaid plans with a Rs. 499 unlimited pack. The new recharge plan comes with a validity of 70 days and promises to offer unlimited free calling and 1.5GB data per day. On a related note, Vodafone has also increased the validity of the Rs. 555 prepaid plan from 70 days to 77 days.
Here's a look at the benefits of Rs. 499 pack
The Rs. 499 prepaid plan offers unlimited free calls to any number within India, free roaming calls, 1.5GB high-speed data per day and 100 daily SMSes. As for validity, the plan will last for a total of 70 days. Additionally, the plan also offers a free Vodafone Play subscription which costs Rs. 499 and a complimentary ZEE5 subscription worth Rs. 999.
At present, the plan is available in select circles only
According to Vodafone's official listing, the new Rs. 499 plan is available in select regions only, including Delhi and NCR, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. We expect the plan to gradually become available in other circles as well.
The Rs. 555 plan now offers 77 days of validity
Alongside the launch of the Rs. 499 unlimited pack, Vodafone has also updated the existing Rs. 555 plan. It now offers an increased validity of 77 days as against its previous validity of 70 days. Other benefits remain unchanged. The pack still offers 1.5GB data/day, unlimited free calling, 100 SMSes per day, and free access to Vodafone Play as well as ZEE5.
These plans are available for Idea subscribers as well
The newly-launched Rs. 499 pack and the updated Rs. 555 plan are also available for all the Idea subscribers in India. However, they don't get free access to Vodafone Play and ZEE5, and the Rs. 499 pack offers them 2GB data/day instead of 1.5GB/day.
