Airtel, Vodafone update Rs. 169 plan: Better than Jio's plan?
In a bid to retain existing customers and attract new ones, telecom giants Airtel and Vodafone have updated their Rs. 169 prepaid plans. Under the revised plan, both the companies now offer 1GB daily data for 28 days - a major improvement over the previous quota of 1GB for 28 days. But how do these updated plans compare with Jio's budget packs?
Firstly, here's a look at Airtel's Rs. 169 update plan
Airtel's updated plan of Rs. 169 now offers 1GB of data daily, unlimited calling, and free 100 local and national SMSes per day. Notably, the plan comes with a validity of 28 days and is available across all circles in India. Before the revision, the plan offered the same benefits but with just 1GB of data for 28 days.
What do you get with Vodafone's Rs. 169 plan?
Like the Airtel plan, Vodafone's updated Rs. 169 also offers 1GB of data daily, unlimited local and national calling, and free 100 SMSes per day. Moreover, this plan also comes with a validity of 28 days. Lastly, subscribers also get complimentary access to free live TV and movies available on the Vodafone Play app.
But, Jio beats Airtel, Vodafone with its Rs. 149 plan
Reliance Jio takes on Airtel and Vodafone's Rs. 169 plan with its cheaper Rs. 149 pack. Under the plan, the telco offers 1.5GB of daily data, unlimited calling, and 100 daily SMSes. Further, users also get free access to Jio apps which include popular services such as JioTV, JioSaavn, JioMoney, and JioCinema among others.
