The emblem was a recognizable mascot during Twitter's 16-year existence before being rebranded as X by Elon Musk in 2022.
The sale was handled by RR Auction, which specializes in rare and collectible items.

The iconic Twitter bird sign, which weighed around 254kg and stood at a whopping 12 feet by nine feet, was auctioned for $34,375.
This was below the estimated value of $40,000 according to the auction website.
RR Auction did not reveal who the buyer was or where these proceeds could possibly go.
