TCS partners with McDonald's Philippines to digitize over 760 outlets
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's leading IT services provider, has inked a two-year contract with McDonald's Philippines. The agreement aims to standardize and digitize operations across more than 760 fast-food outlets of the company in the country. This collaboration marks TCS's inaugural engagement with McDonald's in the Asia-Pacific region, as stated in a recent exchange filing by the company.
TCS to upgrade McDonald's IT infrastructure
TCS plans to implement a sophisticated upgrade of McDonald's existing systems in the Philippines, transitioning them to the cloud (SAP S/4HANA on RISE). The IT giant will leverage its extensive industry expertise, and contextual knowledge in SAP-led business systems transformation. The goal is to enhance the IT infrastructure of Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC), which holds the master franchise for McDonald's in the Philippines.
Digital transformation to boost efficiency, reduce costs
The digital transformation is expected to yield several benefits including increased efficiency, reduced operating costs, and improved process optimization. It will also improve the franchisee experience, driving stakeholder loyalty and boosting workforce productivity. TCS's services will include app development, automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. These advancements are part of GADC's commitment to digital transformation in the Philippines over recent years.
