Suzuki Intruder Special Edition launched at Rs. 1 lakh
Suzuki Motorcycle India has rolled out the special edition models of its Intruder cruiser motorcycle that was launched in India in November 2017. The new models, available in both carburetted and fuel-injected formats, are named as the Suzuki Intruder SP and Suzuki Intruder Fi SP. These special edition models get some design updates while retaining the mechanics of the standard Intruder. Here's our roundup.
Suzuki Intruder SP: At a glance
The Suzuki Intruder SP gets a new Matte Black paint job along with red accents, black alloy wheels and a standard cushioned backrest for the pillion. Moreover, like the standard model, the special edition Intruder features projector headlamps with LED position lights and an all-digital instrument cluster. The new model also retains the LED taillamp, an angular twin exhaust, and a big cruiser-like casing.
Under the hood
The Suzuki Intruder SP and SP Fi are powered by the 154.9cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine, which we have seen on the standard model. The engine, mated to a 5-speed gearbox, produces a maximum power of 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 14 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
On the road
Like the standard model, the special edition Intruder also comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends. Notably, the front disc brake comes paired with a single channel Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). For suspension duties, the Intruder sports telescopic forks up front and a Swing Arm Type mono-shock suspension at the rear end.
Pricing of these special edition Intruder cruisers
The new Intruder SP (carburetted variant) is priced at Rs. 1,00,500 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) while the Intruder Fi SP (fuel-injected model) comes at a price tag of Rs. 1,07,300 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
