Suzlon shares surge after securing India's largest wind energy order
Suzlon Energy's shares have witnessed a significant 3% surge, reaching a day's high of ₹77.18 on the BSE today. This increase comes in the wake of the company securing India's largest wind energy order from NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC. The contract mandates Suzlon to install 370 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a capacity of 3.15MW, across three locations in Gujarat.
Suzlon's wind energy project to power millions of homes
The wind energy project undertaken by Suzlon is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately three million households. This initiative marks a significant milestone in India's renewable energy sector. The project will be carried out across three sites in Gujarat, as per the company's disclosure to the exchanges.
Suzlon's partnership with NTPC Green Energy

He believes it will establish new standards for future projects and significantly contribute to India's energy self-sufficiency and economic prosperity. Additionally, it will help NGEL achieve its ambitious goal of adding 60GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
Suzlon's responsibilities under the new agreement
Under the terms of the agreement with NTPC Green Energy, Suzlon is responsible for supplying wind turbines and executing the project in Gujarat.
