Spotify Premium annual subscription available at 50% discount in India
If you've been thinking to opt for Spotify's Premium subscription, now might be the best time. As part of a limited-time period sale, Spotify is offering a massive 50% discount on its Premium annual subscription for all new and existing users in India. However, the deal is available for individual users and not for the recently launched premium family plan. Here are more details.
Spotify Premium now available for just Rs. 699 per year
The Spotify Premium annual plan is priced at Rs. 1,189 per year. However, as part of the offer, you can get the 1-year plan for just Rs. 699. Notably, this deal is available until December 31, 2019. As mentioned before, the offer is available for new as well as existing users. Meanwhile, if you are already a Premium user, you can simply subscribe again.
How to avail the offer
To get started, you will have to create a Spotify account and head to the desktop website to subscribe to the offer. At present, the music streaming service doesn't support premium subscriptions on the app. The new offer is available under the plans section and you can tap on 'Get Premium' button to subscribe. Spotify accepts credit/debit cards as well as UPI payments.
What are the benefits of Spotify Premium?
The Spotify Premium plan offers ad-free music experience with up to 320kbps streaming quality, access to podcasts, multi-device support, and offline playback. These benefits are also available with the Family and Student plans which cost Rs. 179 and Rs. 59 per month. If you don't wish to subscribe to the annual plan, you can opt for a monthly plan at Rs. 119.
Offer not open to Premium family users or third-party reseller
According to Spotify, the offer is not open to Premium Family users or users registered to Spotify via a third-party reseller. Moreover, all existing recurring subscriptions will resume at the discounted price at the end of the current prepaid period unless you cancel earlier.
