As far as the top sector gainers are concerned, Nifty FINANCIAL SERVICE, NIFTY BANK, and NIFTY PVT BANK topped the list, edging up 1.53%, 1.46%, and 1.41%, respectively. The top stock gainers were UltraTech Cement, Grasim, and UPL, which climbed 5.81%, 4.02%, and 2.94%, respectively. TATA Consumer Products, Infosys, and NTPC led the negative pack, plummeting 1.68%, 1.67%, and 1.36%, respectively.

On Friday, the Indian rupee (INR) edged up 0.09% to Rs. 79.87 versus the US Dollar in the forex trade. Meanwhile, crude oil future prices declined by $1.34, or 1.38% to settle at $96.04 per barrel.
