Sensex climbs to 59,277 points, Nifty ends above 17,650

Who were the biggest gainers and losers on Friday?
As far as the top sector gainers are concerned, NIFTY PSU BANK, NIFTY PSE, and NIFTY ENERGY topped the list, edging up 3.84%, 3.16%, and 2.39%, respectively. Meanwhile, the top stock gainers were NTPC, BPCL and Power Grid Corp, which climbed 5.89%, 4.19%, and 3.81%, respectively. Hero Motocorp, Tech Mahindra, and SBI Life Insura lead the negative pack, plummeting 2.35%, 0.82% and 0.72%, respectively.

Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai remain the same
Fuel prices in Delhi remained same on Friday with diesel priced at Rs. 93.11/liter and petrol at Rs. 101.85/liter. The crude oil futures slipped 1.62% to $100.8 per barrel. Talking about the precious metals, the gold futures largely traded flat, settling at Rs. 51,490, but the silver futures dropped by Rs. 347 or 0.51% to Rs. 67,140.
