Sensex slips 98 points, Nifty settles below 15,950 points
On Thursday, major indices of the stock market ended flat with the Sensex sliding 98 points to settle at 53,416.15 and the Nifty closing 28 points lower at 15,938.65. Who were the biggest winners and losers on Thursday?
The top performing sectors of the market were Nifty ENERGY, NIFTY PHARMA, and NIFTY CONSUMPTION led the way, gaining 0.99%, 0.78%, and 0.34%, respectively. Furthermore, Sun Pharma, ONGC, and Dr Reddys Labs emerged as the top performing stocks, edging up 2.6%, 2.25%, and 1.88%, respectively. Axis Bank, HCL Tech, and Hero Motocorp led the losing pack, dropping 1.62%, 1.59%, and 1.49%, respectively.

The Asian markets ended on a negative note, with the Shanghai Composite Index, the Hang Seng Index, and the Nikkei ending in the red, dropping to 3,281.74 points, 20,751.21 points, and 26,643.39 points, respectively. Meanwhile, in the US market, NASDAQ shed 0.15% to 11,247.58 points.
Crude oil prices increased by $1.49
On Thursday, the Indian rupee (INR) declined 0.09% against the US Dollar to end at Rs. 79.25 in the forex trade. Also, the gold futures prices surged by 0.45% to Rs. 52,150, while the silver futures settled flat at Rs. 57,800. Crude oil future prices surged by $1.49, or 1.37% to $110.07/barrel.
Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai remain same
The fuel prices in Delhi remain unchanged on Monday, with diesel priced at Rs. 89.66/liter and petrol costing Rs. 96.76/liter. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 97.26/liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 111.33/liter.

Bitcoin is trading at $19,799.68 which is 0.01% down from yesterday. Ethereum is down 0.06% and is selling at $1,085.66. Tether, BNB, and Cardano are listed at $0.9994 (flat), $228.52 (0.05% down), and $0.4218 (0.11% down), respectively. Dogecoin is trading at $0.06007, down 0.09% from yesterday.
