Sensex down 372 points, Nifty settles below 15,600 mark
On Wednesday, the benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices witnessed a fall, continuing their losing streak for the third day. The Sensex plunged 0.7% to 53,514.15 points, while the Nifty fell 0.57% to 15,966.65 points. Who were the biggest gainers and losers on Wednesday?
As far as the top sector gainers are concerned, NIFTY PHARMA, NIFTY FMCG, and NIFTY METAL topped the list, edging up 1.36%, 0.93%, and 0.79%, respectively. Meanwhile, the top stock gainers were Titan Company, Hindalco, and JSW Steel, which climbed 5.93%, 5.52%, and 4.7%, respectively. TCS plunged 1.49%, becoming one of the biggest losers in the market on Wednesday.

In Asia, the Shanghai Composite Index soared 0.09% to 3,284.29 points, while the Nikkei index too rose 0.54% to 26,478.77 points. However, the Hang Seng Index slipped 0.22% to end at 20,797.95 points. Meanwhile, in the US, NASDAQ shed 0.95% to close at 11,264.73 points.
INR plunged 0.08% against the US Dollar
The Indian rupee (INR) on Wednesday weakened against the US Dollar, plunging 0.08% to settle at Rs. 79.67. On the other hand, the gold futures witnessed little movement, ending flat at Rs. 50,606, while the silver futures tumbled 0.31% to Rs. 59,320. Meanwhile, the crude oil future prices surged by $0.67, or 0.64% to $103.87/barrel.
Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai remain the same
The fuel prices in Delhi remain unchanged on Monday, with diesel priced at Rs. 89.66/liter and petrol costing Rs. 96.76/liter. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 97.26/liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 111.33/liter.

Bitcoin is selling at $19,799.39, down 0.34% from yesterday. Ethereum is down 0.27% and is trading at $1,073.54. Tether, BNB, and Cardano are trading at $0.9992 (0.01% down), $226.53 (0.33% down), and $0.4293 (0.33% down), respectively. Down 0.08% from yesterday, Dogecoin is trading at $0.06157.
