Sensex falls 135 points, Nifty settles below 15,300 points
The stock market on Friday ended on a sluggish note as the Sensex settled at 51,360.42 points and the Nifty stood at 15,293.5 points. The midcap stocks showed bearish signals with the Nifty Midcap 50 dropping 0.53% to 7,158.1 points. Here are more details on the markets' performance on Friday.
Who were the biggest winners and losers on Friday?
On Friday, Nifty PVT BANK, NIFTY BANK, and NIFTY FIN SERVICE emerged as the top-performing sectors, rising 0.41%, 0.38%, and 0.38%, respectively. Meanwhile, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, and Coal India emerged as the biggest stock gainers, adding 2.82%, 2.66%, and 2.31%, respectively. Titan Company, Wipro, and HDFC Life lead the negative pack, plummeting 6.01%, 3.77%, and 3.73%, respectively.

In Asian markets, the Shanghai Composite Index soared 0.96% to 3,316.79 points, while the Hang Seng Index also rose 1.1% to 21,075 points. But the Nikkei ended in red, plunging 1.77% to 25,963 points. In the US, NASDAQ fell 453.05 points to 10,646.1 points.
INR rose 0.01% against the US Dollar
The Indian rupee (INR) strengthened 0.01% to settle at Rs. 78.07 against the US Dollar. Meanwhile, not much movement was witnessed in the gold and silver futures as they were trading flat. While the gold price settled at Rs. 51,050, the price for silver ended at Rs. 61,540. The crude oil futures edged up by $1.17, or 1.01% to $116.47 per barrel.
Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai remain unchanged
The fuel prices in Delhi remain unchanged on Wednesday, with diesel priced at Rs. 89.66/liter and petrol costing Rs. 96.76/liter. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 97.26/liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 111.33/liter.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $20,972.85, a 1.26% decrease from yesterday. Ethereum is down 2.99% and is selling at $1,093.79. Tether, BNB, and Cardano are trading at $0.9989 (0.01% down), $217.97 (0.09% up), and $0.4886 (0.89% down), respectively. Dogecoin is trading at $0.05697, up 0.50% from yesterday.
