Sensex slips 153 points to 52,693, Nifty below 15,750 mark
The stock market on Tuesday ended on a sluggish note as the Sensex settled at 52,693.57 points and the Nifty stood at 15,732.1 points. The midcap indices also largely reflected the broader market trend, trading near the flat line as the Nifty Midcap 50 wrapped up at 7,345.1 points. Who were the biggest gainers and losers?
As far as the top sector gainers are concerned, Nifty REALTY, NIFTY METAL, and NIFTY PHARMA topped the list, edging up 0.81%, 0.36%, and 0.22%, respectively. On the other hand, the top gaining stocks were NTPC, Cipla, and Bharti Airtel, adding 2.12%, 1.68%, and 1.67%, respectively. Bajaj Auto, IndusInd Bank, and Hindalco emerged as the biggest losers, dropping 4.76%, 2.31%, and 2.17%, respectively.
INR up 0.03% against the US Dollar
The Indian rupee (INR) on Tuesday strengthened 0.03% to settle at Rs. 78.01 against the US Dollar in the forex trade. The gold and silver futures prices have finished in red. While the gold futures dropped to Rs. 50,475, silver futures tumbled to settle at Rs. 59,926. Meanwhile, the crude oil future prices surged by $0.65, or 0.54% to $121.7 per barrel.

The world's most popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin is trading at $22,351.12 which is 7.13% down as compared to yesterday. Meanwhile, Ethereum is down by 2.6% and is currently trading at $1,200.69. Tether, BNB, and Cardano are listed at $0.9987 (0.01% up), $224.08 (0.15% down), and $0.4963 (10.16% up), respectively. Finally, Dogecoin is trading at $0.05602, up 1.03% from yesterday.
Here are the fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai
The fuel prices in Delhi remain unchanged on Tuesday, with diesel priced at Rs. 89.66/liter and petrol costing Rs. 96.76/liter. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 97.26/liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 111.33/liter.
