Sensex slips to 55,107.34 points, Nifty settles below 16,500
On Tuesday, the benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices were on a downward trend, continuing their losing streak for the third straight day. While Sensex plunged 1.03% to 55,107.34 points, the Nifty fell 0.93% to 16,416.35. Midcap stocks also witnessed a bearish run with Nifty Midcap 50 shedding 55.4 points to end at 7,620.6. Who were the biggest gainers and losers?
Among the top sector gainers in the stock market were NIFTY PSE, NIFTY ENERGY, and NIFTY AUTO, gaining 1.08%, 1.04%, and 0.52%, respectively. On the other hand, the biggest stock gainers were ONGC, NTPC, and Coal India, which climbed 4.84%, 1.48%, and 1.36%, respectively. Titan Company, UPL, and Dr. Reddys Labs emerged as the biggest losers, dropping 4.48%, 4.4%, and 3.85%, respectively.
INR plunged 0.1% against the US Dollar
The Indian rupee (INR) on Tuesday, weakened against the US Dollar, plunging 0.1% to settle at Rs. 77.71. On the other hand, the gold futures witnessed little movement, ending flat at Rs. 50,869, while the silver futures tumbled 0.8% to Rs. 61,801. Meanwhile, the crude oil future prices declined by $0.66, or 0.55% to $118.05 per barrel.

Tether, BNB, and Cardano are listed at $0.9994 (0.01% up), $281.75 (9.25% down), and $0.5864 (8.03% down), respectively. Finally, Dogecoin is trading at $0.07987, which is 5.02% lower compared to yesterday.
Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai remain unchanged
The fuel prices in Delhi remain unchanged on Tuesday, with diesel priced at Rs. 89.66/liter and petrol costing Rs. 96.76/liter. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 97.26/liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 111.33/liter.
