Sensex closes at 55,769.23 points, Nifty settles below 16,600 points
On Friday, major indices of the stock market ended flat with the Sensex settling at 55,769.23 points and the Nifty closing at 16,584.3 points. Who were the biggest gainers and losers on Friday?
NIFTY IT emerged as the top gaining sector of the market on Friday, edging up by 0.37%. The top gaining stocks were Reliance, Infosys, and Larsen, adding 2%, 0.96%, and 0.8%, respectively. Meanwhile, the biggest stock losers were Grasim, UltraTech Cement, and Shree Cements, which plunged 6.53%, 5.5%, and 4.52%, respectively.

Among the Asian markets, the Hang Seng Index and the Nikkei declined by 1% and 1.27% to 21,082.13 points and 27,761.57 points, respectively. However, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.42% to 3,195.46 points. In the US, NASDAQ gained 2.69% to close at 12,316.9 points.
Crude oil price fell by 0.39% to $116.08/barrel
The Indian rupee (INR) depreciated by 0.02% to end at Rs. 77.62 against the US Dollar in the forex trade on Friday. The gold futures witnessed little movement, settling flat at Rs. 51,273, while the silver futures jumped 0.42% to Rs. 62,598. Also, the crude oil futures fell by $0.45, or 0.39% to $116.08/barrel.
Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai remain unchanged
The fuel prices in Delhi remain unchanged on Friday, with diesel priced at Rs. 89.66/liter and petrol costing Rs. 96.76/liter. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 97.26 per/liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 111.33/liter.

Bitcoin is trading at $30,175.38 which is 0.81% down from yesterday. Meanwhile, Ethereum is down 1.64% and is trading at $1,790.46. Tether, BNB, and Cardano are listed at $0.9995 (0.02% up), $302.11 (0.39% down), and $0.57 (1.16% down), respectively. Dogecoin is trading 0.19% higher than yesterday at $0.08132.
