Sensex slips over 600 points, Nifty settles below 22,420 mark
On Friday, the benchmark Sensex and Nifty indices were on a downward trend. While the Sensex plunged 0.81% to 73,730.16 points, the Nifty fell 0.66% to end the day at 22,419.95 points. Who were the biggest gainers and losers?
Among the top sector gainers in the stock market were NIFTY MEDIA, NIFTY PHARMA, and NIFTY REALTY, gaining 1.17%, 0.61%, and 0.59%, respectively. The biggest stock gainers were Tech Mahindra, Divis Labs, and LTIMindtree, which climbed 7.55%, 4.97%, and 3.42%, respectively. Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, and IndusInd Bank were trading among the top stock losers on Friday, shedding 7.73%, 3.66%, and 3.08%, respectively.

Moving on to Asian markets, the Shanghai Composite Index plummeted 1.16% to 3,088.64 points, while the Nikkei too fell 0.81% to 37,934.76 points. However, the Hang Seng Index climbed 2.08% to 17,651.15 points. Meanwhile, in the US market, NASDAQ shed 0.64% to reach 15,611.76 points.
INR goes down 0.02% against US dollar
On Friday, the Indian rupee (INR) edged 0.02% lower to ₹83.35 versus the US dollar in forex trade. The gold and silver futures prices traded in the green. While the gold futures gained ₹485, or 0.68%, to settle at ₹71,699, silver futures shot up by ₹577, or 0.72%, to ₹81,261. The crude oil futures edged up by $1.1, or 1.33% to $84.02 per barrel.
Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai
Fuel prices witnessed no change on Friday. In Delhi, diesel is priced at ₹87.66 per liter, and petrol at ₹94.76 per liter. In Mumbai, diesel and petrol cost ₹92.13 per liter and ₹104.19 per liter, respectively.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $64,488.72, a 0.92% increase from yesterday. Ethereum is up 0.68% and is trading at $3,151.41. Tether, BNB, and Cardano are priced at $0.9999 (0.01% down), $604.07 (1.30% down), and $0.4686 (0.21% down), respectively. Finally, Dogecoin is trading 1.06% higher than yesterday at $0.1513.
