Meanwhile, the top stock gainers were BPCL, Hero MotoCorp, and Tata Motors, which climbed 2.6%, 2.48%, and 2.37%, respectively.
Coming to the top losing stocks, Dr. Reddys Labs, Asian Paints, and Grasim emerged as the biggest losers, dropping 3.26%, 2.34%, and 1.84%, respectively.
