The stock market on Friday closed in the hands of bull as the Sensex rose 1.5% to 59,808.97 points while the Nifty climbed 1.55% to 17,594.35 points. Who were the biggest winners and losers?
The top sector gainers were NIFTY PSU BANK, NIFTY METAL and NIFTY BANK, edging up 5.12%, 3.43%, and 2.09%, respectively. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, and SBI emerged as the top-performing stocks, edging up 16.66%, 9.58% and 5.09%, respectively. Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, and Cipla lead the negative pack, plummeting 2.24%, 0.96%, and 0.86%, respectively.

INR goes up by 0.77% against the US Dollar
The Indian Rupee (INR) appreciated by 0.77% to close at Rs. 81.96 against the US Dollar in the forex trade on Friday. The gold futures prices largely traded flat, ending at Rs. 55,820. However, the silver futures soared Rs. 407, or 0.64%, to Rs. 64,441. The crude oil future prices declined by $0.34, or 0.43% to $78.2 per barrel.
