The long-awaited Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 have finally been made available at Royal Enfield showrooms across India, and bookings can be made for Rs. 5,000. However, there's a catch - deliveries for the Interceptor won't begin till January end, while deliveries for the Continental GT are likely to begin in the first week of February. Here's more.
The engine that powers the Royal Enfield 650 twins
In terms of engines, both the Interceptor and the Continental GT are powered by a new 648cc, counter-balanced, oil-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine that generates 47bhp at 7,250rpm, and 52Nm of peak torque at 5,250rpm.
