Gurugram-based Revolt Intellicorp, the company founded by Micromax's co-founder Rahul Sharma, has unveiled India's first fully electric AI-based bike, Revolt RV400. The electric motorcycle is expected to be priced at around Rs. 1 lakh in the country. Notably, its pre-bookings are slated to start from June 25 via Amazon and Revolt's official website against a token amount of Rs. 1,000. Here's our roundup.
Let's take a look at the Revolt RV400
The Revolt RV400 features a naked-street styled look featuring sharp edges, narrow seats, black alloy wheels, and an attractive paint job. The electric bike comes with a digital instrument console and houses an all LED setup for lighting. Moreover, it will be available in two color options: Cosmic Black and Rebel Red.
Revolt RV400 comes with a bunch of hi-tech features
The Revolt RV400 offers a bunch of new-age hi-tech features such as LTE support, Map guide, bike start-stop via Bluetooth, doorstep battery delivery, and geo-fencing. All of them can be accessed via the Revolt app. Interestingly, there is also a ringtone feature in the app which makes the silent EV sound like a conventional motorcycle.
Power and performance
The Revolt RV400 is powered by a lightweight portable lithium-ion battery which promises a range of 156 kms on a single charge. Further, the bike offers a top speed of 85 kmph and can be fully charged in around 4 hours.
Revolt RV400: On the road
Revolt RV400 houses disc brakes on both front and rear wheels along with the RBS (Regenerative Braking System) which charges the battery of bike whenever you apply brakes. The bike houses USD forks up front, and a monoshock unit on the rear for handling the suspension duties. Further, it offers three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sport+.
And, what will be the pricing?
As far as the pocket pinch is concerned, the Revolt RV400 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 1 lakh in India. However, the official pricing hasn't been revealed by the company at the moment.
