Renault Duster to get another major facelift soon
Renault is planning to launch another facelift version of its famous SUV, the Renault Duster, in India soon. The new model will come with a few new features, updates as well as safety-related changes such as dual airbags and ESC program (electronic stability control). However, mechanically, the new Duster will remain same as the current model. Here's all about the SUV.
Renault Duster: At a glance
The Renault Duster sports a curvy body, a bold chrome grille and a diamond logo up front. It gets adjustable headlights, LED taillamps, LED daytime running lights, power windows along with wiper, washer, and defogger for the rear windows. With a ground clearance of 210mm and a wheelbase of 2,673mm, the SUV runs on 16-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin
Renault Duster comes with a multi-function power steering wheel, soft-touch dashboard and chrome finished door handles. It features fabric upholstery, cup holders, headrest and center armrest for the rear seats as well as height adjustable driving seat. Further, the 5-seater SUV gets a touchscreen infotainment panel which supports Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
On the road
The Renault Duster comes with power door locks, parking sensors, crash sensors, and anti-theft provision. The car has ABS+EBD, rear-view camera, brake assist, hill assist, and speed sensing auto door lock. Lastly, the cabin features driver and passenger airbags as well as child safety locks.
Renault Duster: Power and performance
The Renault Duster comes in three engine options. The first 1.5-liter petrol engine produces 83bhp of maximum power and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-liter diesel engine churns out a maximum power of 108bhp and comes mated to a 6-speed manual/AMT gearbox. Lastly, the 1.5-liter petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed CVT gearbox which produces a maximum power of 104bhp.
Here's a look at the pricing
The existing Renault Duster comes in 10 variants with the base-end petrol model starting at Rs. 7.99 lakh and going upto Rs. 10 lakh for the top model. The diesel-variant starts at Rs. 9.2 lakh and goes upto Rs. 13.1 lakh for the high-end model.
