Jio's "affordable" Rs. 153 plan now offers 1GB/day 4G data
Reliance Jio has upgraded its "most affordable" Rs. 153 prepaid plan by increasing the amount of high-speed 4G data offered to customers. Subscribers used to get 500MB of 4G data daily for 28 days under the Rs. 153 plan. However, the Mukesh Ambani-owned telco would now offer 100% more 4G data: 1GB per day. The plan is available for JioPhone users only. Here's more!
Jio is offering 28GB 4G data instead of 14GB
Since Reliance Jio has updated the affordable Rs. 153 plan, customers will get a total of 28GB of high-speed 4G data (capped at 1GB/day) at the same price. Apart from the data, Jio will also provide other benefits like free unlimited local and STD calls, 100 SMS, and unrestricted access to a suite of Jio apps comprising Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Music, etc.
Two new smaller packs introduced
Additionally, Jio introduced two new "sachet" (lesser validity) packs at Rs. 24 and Rs. 54 for JioPhone users. Under the Rs. 24 pack, users get 500MB/day 4G data, free voice calls, 20 SMS, and unlimited access to Jio apps for two days. For Rs. 54, users get 500MB/day data, free voice calling, 70 SMS, and access to Jio apps for seven days.
Get up to Rs. 700 cashback on Jio recharges
