PM Modi inaugurates REInvest 2024 renewable energy summit in Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the fourth edition of REInvest 2024 green energy summit, today in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and industry body Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). This marks the first time that the event is being held outside Delhi. The conference will feature 44 sessions, including a Chief Ministers plenary and multiple CEO roundtables.
Modi to interact with beneficiaries of solar power scheme
In addition to inaugurating REInvest 2024, Modi will also interact with the beneficiaries of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in Gandhinagar. He is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several development projects worth ₹8,000 crore.
Chief Ministers plenary to feature prominent political figures
The Chief Ministerial plenary at REInvest 2024 includes participants such as Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, and Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy. New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi and MNRE Secretary BS Bhalla will also speak at the session. CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee is another key speaker scheduled for this event.
REInvest 2024 to host sessions on renewable energy investment
The first day of REInvest 2024 will host parallel sessions on diverse topics like renewable energy investment, supply chains, and capital needs for India's energy transition. Key speakers include Christine Toetzke from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Pankaj Gupta from the World Bank, and Lise Breuill from AFD. Imad N Fakhoury from International Finance Corporation, Eiji Wakamatsu from JICA, and Anish De, Global Head for Energy, Natural Resources and Chemicals (ENRC) at KPMG are also included.
