Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5 go on flash sale today
Chinese phone maker Xiaomi is hosting a flash sale for its Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5, and Redmi 5A smartphones today (March 30) at 12 pm IST. While the flash sale for the Redmi Note 5 will be held on both Flipkart and Mi.com, the Redmi 5 will only be up for grabs on Amazon India and the Redmi 5A only on Mi.com.
Redmi Note 5 features 4,000mAh battery, 12MP camera
The Redmi Note 5 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant and at Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. The smartphone features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display, a 4,000mAh battery, a 12MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera. It runs the Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 OS and is powered by the 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor.
Redmi 5 comes in three storage variants
The Redmi 5 is priced at Rs. 7,999 for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage option, at Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage option, and at Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. It features a 5.7-inch screen, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 3,300mAh battery. It runs the MIUI 9 OS and is powered by the 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor.
The affordable Redmi 5A starts at Rs. 5,999
The Redmi 5A is an affordable smartphone priced at Rs. 5,999 for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage option and at Rs. 6,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant. It features a 5-inch HD display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 3,000mAh battery. It runs the MIUI 9 OS based on Android Nougat and is powered by the 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor.
Xiaomi and flash sales
This is the second surprise flash sale of the Redmi Note 5 in the last two weeks. Notably, the Redmi Y1 Lite is also up for grabs on both Amazon India and Mi.com, but it has been on an open sale for several weeks now. The Redmi Note 5 Pro will not be sold today.
