The registrations for Prime Minister's Internship Scheme 2025 will close on March 12, 2025.
Under this scheme, launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the youth of India will get a year-long internship program.
The scheme is aimed at "offering valuable work experience and skill development opportunities."
Each intern will get a monthly financial assistance of ₹5,000, supplemented by a one-time financial assistance of ₹6,000 upon joining, the Ministry announced.
Eligibility
Who can apply?
To qualify for the PM Internship Scheme 2025, candidates must be aged between 21 to 24 years as of the application deadline.
They must have completed at least secondary (Class 10) or higher secondary (Class 12) education, or hold a diploma/degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc.).
Candidates engaged in full-time employment or full-time education cannot apply. However, those pursuing online/distance learning can apply.
Insurance
Interns will be insured under 2 government schemes
Interns under this scheme will also be covered under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
The government will pay the premiums for these insurance policies.
This provision ensures that all interns are protected during their internship period, adding an extra layer of security to the initiative.
