Over 1 million OnePlus 6 sold in just 22 days
Over 1 million units of OnePlus's latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6, were sold worldwide in 22 days. This number is still quite small when compared to the sales of flagship competitors like Samsung Galaxy and iPhones, which sell tens of millions of units in a month. However, this is definitely an achievement for OnePlus, which boasts of a small but loyal fanbase.
The company's fastest selling device to date
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said, "The OnePlus 6 is our most balanced handset yet, combining style and speed for a unique experience. We're grateful to the OnePlus community as the OnePlus 6 has become our fastest selling handset ever."
OnePlus 5, 5T took three months to reach this milestone
In comparison, the two predecessors, the OnePlus 5 and 5T, took around three months each to cross the 1 million milestone. Further, the 256GB storage variant of OnePlus 6 was purchased the most, the company revealed. Over 1,000 tickets were sold for the OnePlus 6 launch event in under 10 hours and over 15,000 people visited 26 OnePlus 6 pop-up stores in 11 countries.
Sales stats of other big flagship smartphones
According to research firm IDC, Google shipped 3.9 million Pixel phones in 2017. Samsung shipped over 8 million units of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in their first month of launch, which is a sluggish sales number for the company, research firm Canalys said. Apple shipped 16 million units of the iPhone X between January and March 2018, according to market researcher Strategy Analytics.

The OnePlus 6 sports a 6.28-inch full-HD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and notch. The device is powered by the 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and runs OxygenOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It also supports Android P beta version. The phone packs a 3,300mAh battery. It features dual rear cameras with 20MP + 16MP sensors and a 16MP camera front camera.
Price and availability
The flagship phone is priced at Rs. 34,999 for the 6GB RAM/64GB configuration and Rs. 39,999 for the top-end 8GB/128GB storage option. It is exclusively being sold on Amazon India.
