Ford launches affordable Endeavour in India at Rs. 28 lakh
Leading automaker Ford has introduced a new, improved avatar of its Endeavour SUV in the Indian market. The car is more like a facelift over the previous version and comes with a few subtle changes. And, interestingly, it is also more affordable than the current Endeavour. Here are the details of the new SUV.
2019 Endeavour: Subtle but notable design changes
On the design front, 2019 Endeavour comes with subtle changes, including a slightly redesigned front and rear bumper and chrome-plated trapezoidal grille on the front. The grille looks pretty prominent with three instead of two slats and a pronounced border. Plus, you also get 18-inch alloy wheels, HID headlamps with a smoked effect, and a new 'Diffused Silver' color option on the new model.
Other color options for new Endeavour
Along with Diffused Silver, you can also get the new Ford Endeavour in the current color options, which includes Moondust Silver, Sunset Red, Absolute Black, and Diamond White.
Handy new features in the cabin
On the inside, the new Endeavour gets all essential features from its predecessor, including leather upholstery, 10-speaker surround sound system, sun-roof, and an 8-inch infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition to this, Ford has also given a push button for starting/stopping the engine and a hands-free tailgate feature that lets you open the car's boot with a foot.
More power options under the hood
2019 Endeavour comes in two engine options, one with a 2.2-liter diesel engine and the other with a 3.2-liter unit. The former is tuned to make 160PS of power and 385Nm of torque, while the latter promises 200PS and 470Nm. These are the same options from current Endeavour, but unlike the last time, the 2.2-liter engine is also available with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
And, the price is more affordable
2019 Endeavour comes in two variants: Titanium with 2.2-liter engine mated to a manual gearbox and Titanium+ with 2.2-liter and 3.2-liter engine options with automatic transmission. The former comes at Rs. 28.19 lakh, while the Titanium+ models are priced at Rs. 30.6 lakh and Rs. 32.97 lakh, respectively. This makes the new, upgraded Endeavour cheaper than the models currently selling in the country.
