Twitter appoints former Network18 Digital CEO as India MD
Twitter has roped in Manish Maheshwari, the former CEO of Network18 Digital group, as the Managing Director (MD) of its India operations. Maheshwari will be taking over the new role on April 29 and lead 'strategy and execution' at Twitter India while also focusing on the company's revenue and audience growth in the country. Maheshwari will be taking over from Balaji Krish
Maya Hari, Twitter's Asia Pacific VP, announced Maheshwari's appointment in a welcome tweet. She said his experience in the media industry and knowledge of consumer trends will play a critical role in contributing to Twitter India's growth. Maheshwari will take over the leadership from Balaji Krish, who took the role of Twitter's interim country head after the departure of Taranjeet Singh in September.
