Maruti Suzuki opens booking for next-gen Ertiga: Details here
Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the next-generation of its multi-purpose vehicle, Ertiga. Starting November 21, the all-new seven-seater car will be available via Maruti Suzuki Arena dealership networks in diesel and petrol variants. For booking, interested buyers will have to pay an amount of Rs. 11,000. Here are more details.
New Ertiga: Bigger, more spacious than before
The new Ertiga appears much bigger than the current version, especially in terms of length and wheelbase. Its rear-end is more spacious and you'll also get a touch-based infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top-end variant of the vehicle will have 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and LED projector headlamps.
Five color choices
The petrol and diesel versions of the new Ertiga will be available in four variants - Lxi/Ldi, Vxi/Vdi, Zxi/Zdi, Zxi+/Dzi+ - and five color choices, including grey, blue, white, silver, and an all-new pearl metallic auburn red.
What changes in the petrol variant?
The petrol variant of the new Ertiga will come with a 1.5-liter engine, instead of the 1.4-liter motor of the current version. It promises to deliver 103 bhp of peak power, 138 Nm of peak torque and an economy of 20kmpl. Also, the petrol version of the car will be bundled with a 4-speed automatic gearbox along with the manual option.
And, here's what you get with Ertiga's diesel variant
The diesel variant of the new Ertiga packs a 1.3-liter DDIS 200 engine, which promises a peak power of 89 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. Its fuel economy is expected to be more than 25Kmpl, but remember, you won't get automatic gearbox on this one. This variant will be offered only with a 5-speed manual gearbox at launch.
