KTM RC 125 launched in India for Rs. 1.47 lakh
After a bunch of leaks and teasers, KTM has finally launched its much-awaited RC 125 sports bike for Rs. 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The all new RC 125 arrives as the most affordable faired motorcycle from KTM's line-up. Notably, the bookings for it are already on and the deliveries are slated to begin by the end of this month. KTM RC 125: At a glance
The KTM RC 125 is based on steel trellis frame and sports a faired look with side claddings, attractive graphics, triple clamp handlebar, and orange alloy wheels. The bike comes with a digital instrument console along with the dual projector headlamps and LED DRLs. Moreover, the bike has a kerb weight of 154.2kg and a ground clearance of 157mm.
Engine and performance
The KTM RC 125 is powered by a 124.7cc liquid cooled single cylinder DOHC engine which is capable of producing 14.5PS of maximum power at 9,250rpm and 12Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. Moreover, the bike is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and promises a top speed of 120kmph.
KTM RC 125: On the road
The KTM RC 125 comes equipped with 300mm disc brakes on the front and 230mm disc brakes on the rear wheels along with the single channel ABS and rear wheel lift-up mitigation for a better grip on the road. For suspension duties, the bike houses upside down suspension on the front side along with a monoshock suspension on the rear.
And, what will be the pocket pinch?
In India, the KTM RC 125 is priced at Rs. 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom) which is Rs. 17,000 costlier than the KTM Duke 125. At this price, the bike will take on the likes of Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 and Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 in the country.
