'Made in India' Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R launched at Rs. 12.80lakh
Kawasaki Motors (India) has launched the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R at an introductory price of Rs. 12.80 lakh. As a locally assembled unit, the Ninja ZX-10R now costs about Rs. 6.0 lakh lesser than the price tag of its Completely Built Unit (CBU). At this revised price, the 2018 Kawasaki ZX-10R is now the most affordable 1000cc superbike in India. Here's more.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR now available at Rs. 18.80 lakh
Along with ZX-10R, Kawasaki has also introduced the locally assembled unit of Ninja ZX-10RR at an introductory price of Rs. 18.80 lakh as against its earlier cost of Rs. 21.90 lakh. Like ZX-10R, the ZX-10RR will also be assembled at Kawasaki's Chakan plant near Pune.
The Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR come with a 998cc engine
The 2018 Ninja ZX-10R runs on a 998cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line four-cylinder engine which produces a power of 197bhp at 13,000 rpm and peak torque of 113.5 Nm at 11,500rpm and a top speed of 299kmph. The Ninja ZX-10RR is also powered by the same engine, along with quick shifter and Marchesini wheels. Both the ZX-10R and ZX-10RR have a kerb weight of 206kg.
The Ninja ZX-10R comes loaded with hi-tech features
For driving control, the Ninja ZX-10R comes with a 5-axis Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), 5-mode Kawasaki Sports Traction Control (S-KTRC) system, ABS, engine braking system among other electronic aids. The ZX-10R is also equipped with a 43mm Showa Balance Free Front Fork. The superbike's braking performance is taken care by 330mm Brembo front discs and 220 mm semi-floating petal rear disc.
Bookings open for both the Ninja superbikes
All Kawasaki India dealerships are now accepting bookings for both the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR against a booking amount of Rs. 3 lakh. In India, the ZX-10R is offered in Kawasaki Racing Team edition color while the Ninja ZX-10RR comes only in matte black. Notably, Kawasaki is expected to increase the prices as these introductory prices are valid till July end only.
