2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R launched at Rs. 14 lakh
Kawasaki India has launched the 2019 edition of its sports tourer Ninja ZX-10R in the country. Priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh, the bike has received some mechanical updates but retains the cosmetics of the outgoing model. Notably, the Ninja ZX-10R is locally assembled through completely knocked down (CKD) route. Here is our roundup.
Kawasaki Ninza ZX-10R retains the design of previous model
In terms of design, there aren't many changes, as the updated edition of Ninja ZX-10R retains the same body kit and other equipment. In order to differentiate it from the previous models, Kawasaki has added a few red accents on the fairing of the bike.
Under the hood
Kawasaki has made a bunch of mechanical updated to the 2019 Ninja ZX-10R. Now, it packs a 998cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine which churns out upto 210bhp (using RAM air-intake) of power at 13,500rpm and 114.9Nm of peak torque at 11,200rpm. Further, the bike is now mated to a six-speed gearbox and features Kawasaki's dual-direction quick-shifter for clutch-less gear shifts.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10: On the road
For braking performance, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R houses 330mm disc brakes on the front and 220mm disc brakes on the rear, along with ABS to avoid skidding while braking. Moreover, the bike comes equipped with some advanced electronic features like traction control, cornering management system, electronic throttle valves, engine brake control, and three riding modes.
And, what about pricing
As far as pricing is concerned, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is available at Rs. 13.99 lakh in India. Notably, the bike costs Rs. 31,000 less than the previous model. In India, it will lock horns with BMW S1000RR, Yamaha YZF-RI, and Suzuki GSX-R1000.
