JioSaavn, Gaana reduce subscription prices as Spotify, YouTube-Music enter India
What's the story
With the arrival of Spotify and YouTube Music in India, homegrown music streaming services JioSaavn and Gaana have slashed their annual subscription prices by up to 75% - a move seen to attract the country's younger audience.
With this, JioSaavn Pro and Gaana Plus annual subscriptions are now available at just Rs 299.

Details about JioSaavn Pro's new pricing and benefits
JioSaavn Pro subscription, which was priced at Rs. 999/year, has been slashed down to Rs. 299.
The premium service offers access to millions of songs with ad-free streaming, high-quality audio, exclusive content, JioTunes (caller tunes), and the ability to download songs for offline playback.
JioSaavn Pro also has a monthly plan of Rs. 99 but it isn't as beneficial as the new annual subscription.

Gaana Plus also costs Rs. 299 per year
Separately, the annual subscription of Gaana Plus has been dropped from Rs. 1,098/year to just Rs. 299/year. Moreover, the company has also slashed the prices of its Gaan Plus Student Pack and it now costs Rs. 149.
Like other services, Gaana Plus offers unlimited downloads, ad-free HD streaming, and support for up to 5 devices.
Notably, its monthly pack is priced at Rs. 99.

YouTube Premium, YouTube Premium Music: Pricing and benefits
YouTube Music Premium is priced at Rs. 99/month, while YouTube Premium costs Rs. 129/month. There is also a family plan which allows upto six accounts for Rs. 189/month.
YouTube Premium offers background video playback, access to YouTube Originals, offline downloads and free access to YouTube Music Premium.
Further, YouTube Premium comes with a 3-month free trial period in India.
