Jio's unlimited 4G vouchers start at Rs. 11: Details here
Jio has arguably shaken the Indian telecom space, with its affordable 4G plans and a plethora of services. The company offers a humongous selection of unlimited data plans with different validity limits, but all these plans come with FUP limit, which, if crossed, reduces internet speeds to 60Kbps. However, in such cases, you can buy vouchers starting at Rs. 11 to restore the speed.
Jio data plans come with speed restrictions
No matter which data plan you pick on Jio, there's always a daily quota for high-speed internet. Meaning, depending on your plan, you'll get full 4G speeds up to a certain limit, but after that limit is crossed, your internet speed would be reduced to 60Kbps. Internet will still keep working for the rest of the day (with free calls/messages) but not that fast.
This is where you need a data booster
If your data limit has been exhausted, it can be restored in two ways: you either wait for the next day or buy a booster voucher from Jio. Most people would prefer the first option if only an hour or two is left before the day ends, but if it is more or you urgently need high-speed internet, the voucher comes in handy.
Jio vouchers apply over existing plans, increase speed
The booster vouchers apply over existing plans and replenish your internet speed for the rest of the day. They remain active throughout the validity of your internet plan (no FUP) and activate automatically when your daily quota is exhausted. Once the internet speed is restored for the next day, the remaining data from the booster voucher is carried over for future use.
Jio offers multiple booster voucher options
Jio offers multiple boosters for users with different needs. For instance, if it's just a one-time need, you can go for Rs. 11 voucher with 400MB unlimited data or the one that comes at Rs. 21 and offers 1GB. In case you often run out of data, there are bigger options, like Rs. 51 voucher with 3GB unlimited data or 6GB at Rs. 101.
Note: Voice calls always remain free
That said, it is important to note that voice calls always remain free, even when you've exhausted your daily internet quota or have purchased booster voucher.
