JioPhone 2, the recently announced successor to JioPhone, will go on sale in India starting August 15. Priced at Rs. 2,999, the JioPhone 2 features a BlackBerry Curve-like design with QWERTY keypad, bumped up internals and gets several new functionalities over its popular predecessor. So, if you're interested, here's how you can buy the JioPhone 2.
Here's how you can buy the JioPhone 2
Registrations for the JioPhone 2 will begin on August 15 via MyJio app and Jio website. Once the booking page goes live, you can simply order a JioPhone 2 by filing in your contact and delivery address details and making a payment of Rs. 2,999. Further, the shipping details of the device will possibly be shared on August 15 itself.
The caveats related to buying a JioPhone 2
It is unclear if JioPhone 2 will also be sold via offline channels like the company did with JioPhone. Also, there's no option for cash on delivery, meaning buyers will have to pay the full amount at booking. Further, we don't know if the price is refundable after a stipulated time or not and if JioPhone plans will work with JioPhone 2 as well.
