After a stellar run with its mobile services, Reliance Jio looks primed to disrupt the broadband space in India. Just recently, the company launched its fiber-to-the-home service, Jio Fiber, and revealed all the plans. Evidently, Reliance's biggest competitor in this space - Bharti Airtel's V-Fiber - has also revised its plans to take on Jio Fiber. Here's how the two services compare.

While both Jio Fiber and Airtel V-Fiber are fiber-based broadband services, the former clearly leads in this department by offering better speed. Jio Fiber's entry-level Bronze plan of Rs. 699/month offer 100Mbps speed while the top-tier Platinum and Titanium packs, which cost Rs. 3,999/month and Rs. 8,499/month, offer 1Gbps speed. In comparison, Airtel offers a maximum of 300Mbps speed with its Rs. 1,599 plan.

Depending on the region, Airtel's catalog has a bunch of plans that offer up to 600GB of high-speed data along with up to 1,000GB as bonus data. The telco also offers an unlimited plan but it is available in select regions. On the other hand, with Jio Fiber, you can get up to 5,000GB of high-speed data, depending on the plan you subscribe to.

Airtel offers only four monthly rental plans ranging from the entry-level Rs. 799 Basic plan to the top-tier VIP pack worth Rs. 1,999. However, the availability of plans differs from region to region. In contrast, Jio offers a total of six plans starting with the Bronze pack which costs Rs. 699/month and goes up to the Titanium plan that is priced at Rs. 8,499/month.
