Idea offers Rs. 2,000 cashback on any new 4G smartphone
India's third-largest telecom operator Idea Cellular has launched a new offer under which its customers can receive a cashback of Rs. 2,000 on buying a new 4G smartphone. The offer is not limited to select handsets and can be availed on any new 4G smartphone. With this, Idea is directly competing against Reliance Jio's 'Football Offer' and Airtel's 'Mera Pehla Smartphone' offer.
Here is how you can avail the offer
Idea prepaid subscribers will have to recharge their phones monthly with Rs. 199 or above for the first 18 months of their smartphone purchase. This amount should total to Rs. 3,000 to receive the first installment of Rs. 750. Next, they would again have to recharge their phones with a cumulative amount of Rs. 3,000 in another 18 months to receive the remaining cashback of Rs. 1,250.
Unlike Airtel and Jio, Idea postpaid users can get cashback
As for postpaid Idea subscribers, they will have to opt for a Nirvana voice combo recharge plan for the entire duration of 36 months to avail the cashback offer. These plans start at Rs. 389 and go up to Rs. 2,999.
Here is how Airtel and Reliance Jio are offering cashback
Reliance Jio is offering a cashback worth Rs. 2,200 to its prepaid customers who buy 4G smartphones from brands like Jivi, Asus, BlackBerry, Huawei, LG, Micromax, Motorola, Samsung, and Xiaomi. Even Airtel is offering a cashback of Rs. 2,000 on new Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 smartphones. Notably, Idea's cashback offer is only valid until April 30, 2018.
