You could soon see your Royal Enfield getting built!
Are you interested in seeing how your Royal Enfield gets built? Well, this desire of yours may soon become a reality. This niche Indian motorcycle brand, which is controlled by auto giant Eicher Motors, is considering a proposal to allow some of its buyers to visit their manufacturing plants and witness how this beauty is made. Read on for more details.
So, why is Royal Enfield giving us a sneak peek?
The reasons of doing it are pretty obvious. The proposal aims at creating and retaining a sense of brand loyalty among buyers, as it would be the first of its kind experience. Notably, Royal Enfield often organizes events like group adventure rides and bike festivals which help it in creating and maintaining customer engagement.
And, who all can see Royal Enfield being built?
Well, on an average over 60,000 Royal Enfield bikes are sold every month in India. Considering that, it is obviously not possible for the automaker to allow every buyer to see the manufacturing process. Till now, the company hasn't divulged the details about the shortlisting process. The details are scarce, but it sounds like a pretty exciting opportunity.
Where are Royal Enfield manufacturing plants located in India?
Royal Enfield has three manufacturing plants in India, all located near Chennai, Tamil Nadu - Vallam Vadagal, Oragadam and Thiruvottiyur. All the three plants jointly produced as many as 8.25 lakh Royal Enfield bikes last year for Indian as well as international markets. Royal Enfield has increased its production capacity by almost seven times in the last five years.
