Honda launches Limited Edition Activa 5G in India: Details here
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has officially launched a limited edition model of its Honda Active 5G in the country. The company has made several cosmetic design upgrades in this limited edition model while retaining the mechanical specifications of its ongoing variant. In India, the limited edition scooter comes at a starting price of Rs. 55,030 (ex-showroom). Here is our roundup.
Honda Activa 5G: At a glance
In terms of looks, the limited edition Activa 5G has received major upgrades which include new stylish graphics, a blacked-out engine, black rim, and a chrome muffler cover. Further, the scooter houses LED headlamps and halogen taillamps for lighting. Additionally, the limited edition model gets two new dual-tone color schemes: White with Matte Silver and Metallic Silver with Black.
The new Activa 5G offers a bunch of new-age features
Talking about electronic features, the limited edition Honda Activa 5G comes with a digital-analog instrument console with an eco speed indicator and a service reminder indicator. Also, the scooter features a 4-in-1 lock with a smart seat opening switch provided at the front.
Engine and Performance
When it comes to performance, the limited edition Activa 5G has retained the characteristics of its ongoing model which is powered by a BS-IV compliant 109.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It is capable of producing 8bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 9Nm at 5,500rpm. Moreover, the scooter promises a mileage of 57kmpl and a top speed of 83kmph.
Honda Activa 5G: On the road
For braking performance, the limited edition Honda Activa 5G houses 126mm drum brakes on the front and rear wheels, along with Honda's Combi Brake System (CBS) technology with an equalizer for improved stability. The suspension duties are handled by a spring-loaded hydraulic type suspension up front while the back houses a spring loaded hydraulic type suspension.
