Is Hindenburg back as Morpheus Research to target Adani again?
What's the story
Nathan Anderson, the founder of Hindenburg Research, has publicly endorsed a new investigative research group called Morpheus Research. He did so through a post on X.
This is Anderson's first public statement since the closure of his previous venture, Hindenburg Research, in January.
His support for Morpheus indicates it may conduct similar financial investigations and short-selling strategies as Hindenburg.
Firm's mission
A new player in financial investigations
Morpheus Research is an investigative platform that provides in-depth analytical research on companies.
Founded in 2025 by a group of financial analysts, the firm seeks to expose fraud and corporate misconduct in financial markets.
Its mission statement reads, "We publish deep-dive investigative research on companies that we feel are fundamentally misunderstood by the market."
The firm seeks to expose uncomfortable truths about these companies through its research.
Previous venture
Hindenburg Research: A legacy of exposing financial irregularities
Founded in 2017, Hindenburg Research gained fame for its investigative reports exposing financial irregularities and fraud in major corporations.
One such report accused the Adani Group of market manipulation and accounting fraud, resulting in a massive loss in its combined market value.
Anderson announced Hindenburg's closure on January 15, 2025, saying his team had accomplished their investigative goals and he now wanted a more balanced life.
Twitter Post
