Now book an Ola cab on Hike Messenger!
Hike Messenger has announced a partnership with cab-booking app Ola. With this, Hike users will now be able to use Ola on the messenger itself. All features of Ola will be available on the app, apart from Rentals and Outstation options. The feature is being rolled out across 110 Indian cities. Here's how you can book an Ola cab on Hike!
Here's how you can use Ola on Hike
To use Ola on Hike, you will need the latest version of the app. Head to 'Me' tab and click on Ola. Choose your preferred mode of Ola transport from Auto, Micro, Mini, Prime, Prime Play, Prime SUV or Lux, and pickup and drop locations like you would on the Ola app. You can pay either by Hike Wallet or cash.
But why would you use Ola on Hike?
One benefit of Ola on Hike of this is that it provides all functionalities of Ola but weighs less than 1MB, thus ensuring a lighter footprint. Moreover, you don't need to separately set up the Hike Wallet; with this, you can avail exciting cashback offers.
Users can also book bus tickets, pay bills on Hike
Kavin Bharti Mittal, Hike CEO, said they're excited by this development, "a first in a messaging app in India." This will ensure "the best and most relevant experience is delivered to our users," said Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola CEO. Starting tomorrow, Hike will roll out many new features, including letting users book bus tickets and pay bills for electricity, gas, DTH, and landline.
This comes even as WhatsApp tests payments feature in India
Last week, Hike's rival WhatsApp started testing its Unified Payment Interface (UPI)-based payment service in India. With this, users will be able to send money to friends directly on WhatsApp. Since it's a UPI-based payment method, users will have to link their bank accounts.
